Frequently asked questions
Can I register as self-employed with my current card?
It depends on the type of authorisation you hold. Some allow employed work only, others allow both, and in certain cases a prior modification must be applied for. It is a quick check worth doing before registering rather than after: correcting it costs more than getting it right first time.
What does bookkeeping cost?
It depends on volume and on whether you are self-employed or a company. We give a fixed monthly fee, with no surprises at year end and no items appearing out of nowhere. Tell us what you invoice and what obligations you have and we will quote.
My accounts are behind. Can you catch them up?
Yes, and it is more common than it sounds. We review what is outstanding, regularise what can be regularised and, where appropriate, file late returns while weighing the surcharges. The important thing is to stop the snowball early, because the cost grows with time.
